When Last Did You Feed Your Soul?

Poem by Christina

When last did you feed your soul

With a solitary forest-stroll?

When last were you awed

By dew-strung spider webs

Backlit by sunlight shining though the mist?

When last did you feed your soul

With an unhurried stroll

Along the water’s edge

On a frosty beach at sunrise in the biting cold

To watch the water slowly turn from lead to gold?

When last did you feed your soul

By sitting silently upon a rock

Truly witnessing the subtle outer and inner

Shifts, changes and nuances

As the sun went into hiding for the night?

When last did you feed your soul

Standing in silence in a forest glade

With the winter sun upon your face

Aware of the coolness of our inhalation

Delighting in the misty fog of your exhalation?

When last did you feed our soul

By stopping in your tracks

Ears open to the sounds of rustling leaves

The song of birds moving through the trees

And then tune in to your own heart beating?

When last did you feed your soul

By becoming still enough

To truly feel

The aliveness of your Being

Pulsing, flowing, tingling, glowing?

When last did you feed your soul

By stopping all this constant doing

And becoming fully awake and aware

In the present moment, Now Here

Wherever you happen to be?

When last did you truly feed you soul???
