Letter to a client after their beloved dog died

Oh I SOOO feel for you!!!  No words can express the rent we feel in our make-up when a favorite canine companion dies.  It breaks open our hearts – and helps us to feel what we need to feel to heal all past losses.  Even if we KNOW they have not really left us, the lack of physical contact is what we miss so much, the familiar routine, the sounds, the smells, the physical touch.  Allow yourself to feel it.  Hold each other and let the tears flow…  We don’t know for sure why these things happen, but what if it is to help us feel more deeply?  For when we feel our sorrow fully, and allow it to move through us, it opens the space for love to fill us fully.  Or that is my experience.

May the long-time sun shine upon you all.  May Teeka (not his real name) be at peace knowing that he has done a job well done, for I could see and feel how much Love and Joy he brought to you and the way that he was trying to help you that day while you were going through early labour, sitting against you with his head against your thigh will always, always stay with me!

Please let me know if I can help in any way – a walk and talk perhaps in Seal Bay.  It is such a healing place!

In Love and Light,

Christina
